Which unit do you recommend for honeymoons?

For honeymooners, we recommend our oceanfront suites, especially the Cove Room or the Seashell Room. Both offer direct ocean views, private balconies, kitchenettes, and a romantic, peaceful setting perfect for couples on the Jersey Shore.

What types of rooms are available in the hotel?

We offer a variety of beautifully updated accommodations, including:

  • Direct Oceanfront Rooms with private decks
  • Oceanview Rooms with bay windows
  • Larger Suites for families or small groups

Each room features historic coastal charm with modern amenities.

Are your rates per room or per person?

All rates at 931 Beach Guest House are per room, not per person.

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?

Yes. A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation at the time of booking.

When do I have to pay for my room/reservation?

A deposit is charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Visa and Master Card .

How many people can stay in one room?

Occupancy varies by room. Each room has its own posted occupancy limit.

Do you offer discounts for a group booking?

Yes. For wedding blocks, family reunions, or groups booking multiple rooms, please contact us directly for custom group rates and availability.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times?

Check-in: 2:00 PM Check-out: 10:00 AM

Can we check in early to our room?

If your room is ready, we are happy to offer early check-in starting at 1 PM. Check-ins before 1PM are not available, as rooms are being cleaned and inspected. If your room is not ready, you’re welcome to leave your luggage and enjoy the beach, shopping, or dining nearby.

Can I have a late check-out?

Late check-outs are based on availability. Please ask the day prior to your departure. Additional fees may apply.

Are king-size beds available in the rooms?

Yes! The Cape May Diamond offers a king-size bed, but most of our rooms feature queen-size beds. A limited number of rooms include additional bedding such as trundles or multiple sleeping areas.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?

Yes. 931 Beach Guest House is a 100% smoke-free property—including rooms, balconies, and the porch.

Do all of your rooms have A/C?

Yes. Every room at 931 Beach Guest House has individual air-conditioning and heat controls for year-round comfort.

Are beach tags provided?

No, unfortunately beach tags are not provided, but to find out more information and where to purchase them, please see link below.

Do you have an outdoor shower for guests' use?

No, but we have a hose at the front of the house along the driveway and encourage guests to spray themselves off before entering the house from the beach.

Do you offer bikes?

We don’t offer bikes here at the inn, but you can easily rent them nearby at Shield’s Bike Rental, Cape Island Bikes, or Geared Up Cape May—all just minutes from 931 Beach Guest House.
